PROGRAM IMCQ
Program Spesial
Special Program is a program that contains activities to celebrate the Islamic holidays and special moments. The Special Program is created as a form of practice of Shari’a, a celebration, and to spread Islamic teaching. Special programs currently run by The Indonesian Muslim Centre of Queensland (IMCQ), namely 1) Semarak Ramadan (The celebration of Ramadan), 2) The celebration of Eid al-Fitr, and 3) The celebration of Eid al-Adha.
Semarak Ramadan (The Celebration of Ramadan)
The holy month of Ramadan is a special moment for every Muslim to increase their ibadah and achieve devotion. Every Muslim seeks to do ibadah with better quality and quantity.
Going through Ramadan in countries with a majority of the non-Muslim populations certainly has its own challenges. IMCQ seeks to facilitate ibadah in Ramadan to run smoothly and in the best condition possible amid many limitations. Furthermore, it’s also to keep the atmosphere of Ramadan alive.
Semarak Ramadan is held in the form of a series of activities such as Islamic studies, tarawih prayers, iftar, Quran recitations, tadabbur, etc. The activities are scheduled to fit best to the situation.
The Celebration of Eid al-Fitr
Eid al-Fitr becomes a happy moment to celebrate victory, sharing joy with family and relatives. IMCQ facilitates the Eid al-Fitr celebration for the members who remain in Queensland and do not return to Indonesia.
The Eid al-Fitr celebration is held in the form of a series of Eid prayers, social gatherings, and having a meal together with all IMCQ members, Consulate General officials, and guests.
The date of the celebration of Eid al-Adha is according to the decision of The Australian National Imams Council (ANIC) with the Australian Fatwa Council. The time and place of the event will be announced later.
The Celebration of Eid al-Adha
Eid al-Adha is a festive moment. It shares the example of the story of sincerity in receiving the command of Allah SWT. IMCQ members can participate in the celebration of Eid al-Adha, with activities in the form of Ied prayer, Qurban, social gatherings, and having a meal together.

IMCQ PROGRAMS
The Islamic Study for General Matters program is created to accommodate the needs of Muslims who want to seek knowledge wherever they are. The “Iqra” ayat motivates us to continue improving our knowledge, which is a foothold in righteous deeds.
This Islamic Study for General Matters program contains Islamic studies on various topics, ranging from aqidah-ibadah, fiqh-muamalah, to recent socio-cultural issues.
This program is held regularly every month with a specific theme in each one. The speakers are highly competent in various fields of Islamic knowledge. The Islamic Study for General Matters program is also open to the general public, Muslim men and women.
In addition to broaden Islamic insight, it is expected to be fuel for attendees to spread good deeds and provide values to general communities.
Muslim women play an important role in the education of the next generation. The first education for a child is at home, with their parents, especially the mother. They are the first teacher to their children.
The Islamic Study for Women-related Matters program seeks to provide the knowledge intake needed by Muslim women in carrying out their roles and duties, both in the household and in the social life of da’wah.
This program is held regularly every month and comes with specific themes to discuss. It also has speakers who are highly competent in various fields of Islamic knowledge.
In addition to broadening the attendees’ Islamic insight, it is expected to be fuel for them to spread good deeds and provide values to general communities.Â
